ANNOUNCEMENTS

Prescription drug take-back Saturday

6:59 a.m. EDT, October 25, 2011

The Drug Enforcement Administration will sponsor the nationwide Prescription Drug Take back initiative Saturday.

Locally, a drop-off site for prescriptions drugs will be at the Indiana State Police Post at 1425 Miami Trail in Bremen from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All state police posts, with the exception of the Toll Road Post in Bristol, will be participating.

The goal of the drug take-back is to prevent increased prescription drug abuse and theft.

The service is free and anonymous with no questions asked.

This drug take-back is for pills and liquids only.

KCODE and the Kosciusko County Sheriff Department will soon announce locations to drop-off your liquid and pill prescriptions that you no longer need.  Look for that information in the local newspapers and this website.
